Aromatic chicken dish in Asian style, perfect for six people. A combination of sweet and spicy flavors that can be eaten in portions. If you prefer a spicier version, increase the amount of hot spices.

Ingredients

1 kg chicken breast
1 small celery
4 carrots
1 sweet pepper
1 onion
1 can of peaches
1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
1 tablespoon spicy ketchup
2 tablespoons soy sauce
2 cloves of garlic
1 tablespoon cornstarch
oil for frying
spices: salt, pepper, hot paprika, chili, sweet paprika

Preparation

Cut the chicken into strips or pieces and mix it in a bowl with chopped garlic, soy sauce, salt, and sweet and hot paprika. Leave it in the refrigerator for at least two hours to absorb the spices.
Peel the celery and cut it into strips, slice the carrots. In a large pan, fry the celery and carrots in oil until they become slightly soft. Then add the chopped pepper and simmer covered until the pepper softens.
In a separate pan, fry the onion until golden, then add it to the vegetables. Fry the chicken pieces in the same pan and transfer them to the vegetables.
Cut the canned peaches into cubes, add them to the vegetables and chicken. In the peach juice, mix the apple cider vinegar, spicy ketchup, cornstarch, and half a cup of water. Mix everything thoroughly and pour it into the pan with the vegetables and chicken. Cook, stirring, until everything combines well.
Season the dish with salt, pepper, sweet paprika, and chili. Simmer for 20 minutes on low heat, covered. If needed, add a little water if the sauce becomes too thick.
The chicken in sauce tastes great with rice. The remaining portion of the dish can be stored for the next day – it tastes just as good when reheated.
