

Gzik with potatoes is a traditional dish from the Greater Poland region, particularly popular around Poznań. It consists of white cheese and young potatoes, and its simplicity makes it exceptionally delicious. This recipe serves four people.
Ingredients
700 g of white cheese (low-fat or full-fat, according to preference)
400 ml of cream
1 shallot
1/2 red onion
chives to taste
salt and pepper to taste
about 8 young potatoes (pyry) with skins
Preparation
Mix the white cheese with finely chopped red onion and shallot. Add the cream and chopped chives. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Mix thoroughly – this will be your gzik.
Cook the potatoes in their skins until tender.
Serve the potatoes topped with the gzik. Garnish with finely chopped onion and chives. This simple dish tastes exquisite.
